Jane & John

Jane Farthing and her partner John Jordan are a wonderful couple. We met them at a Coy’s Silverstone in the BWRDC (British Women Racing Drivers Club) stand about five years ago. Like us, penniless but mad keen, we all share the same passion for the sport. Jane is a fearless and very brave driver, currently Racing a Force in Sprints and Hillclimbs, which John prepares and also drives . It has been quite correctly said of Jane “give her a quick car and she would take all the Ladies’ records”.

John Jordan cut his teeth in rallying many years ago, and he feels very comfortable going sideways in a tin top. He is a talented technician, and pushes Jane hard on the track.

All the team members swap cars for testing, and John and Jane have both raced the Triumph special. They so nearly raced the Royale at Curborough, but a broken chassis ended the day prematurely. ( I was dreading being beaten by them both). Jane is an antique specialist, and they live near Lynton in Devon.
